David has trained individuals and small groups between the ages of 15 and 90, and his clients have included very fit recreational athletes and people with medical concerns such as osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, back pain, and a history of falls. He was certified by the California State University at Fullerton in 2005 as a Balance and Mobility Specialist and has designed fall prevention programs for private clients and retirement community residents.
David is a strong proponent of functional and core training – performing exercises that more closely mimic everyday movements and strengthen the muscles that support the pelvis and spine. This form of training has been shown to improve posture and balance, decrease one’s risk of experiencing back pain, and enhance athletic performance.
David enjoys running, biking, strength training, yoga, and softball.
